Obituary

Harvey Ellwood Obstler passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021, at the age of 88. Harvey is survived by his former spouse Shirley Ann Shirk, and preceded in death by former spouses; Lillian Chayt Gordon, and Henri Rhetta Glass. He was also predeceased by his parents, Max and Rose Obstler; and siblings, Wilbur Obstler, Shirley Goldfein, Naomi Owings, Delores Obstler, and Allan Obstler; and grandson, Philip Parker. He had a large and loving family; his children and their spouses, Edward Horn of Columbia, MD, Leona Obstler of Everett, WA, Mindi (John) Lewis-Lacomare of Zellwood, FL, Joanne Knox of Reisterstown, MD, Brian (Terri) Horn of Perryville, MD, Wendy Obstler (Andre Carriere) of Los Angeles, CA; and his grandchildren Eric (Minda) Lewis, Brandon (Nicole) Lewis, Stephanie (Jason) Demski, Elizabeth (Justin) Bryant, Justin Lacomare, Savannah Bohart (Eric Cook), Tyler Knox, Henri Carriere; and Harvey’s many great grandchildren, as well as an enormous amount of loving nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Harvey was a proud veteran who served in the Korean War from 1950 to 1954. May his memory be for a blessing always.

Services at Sol Levinson's Chapel, 8900 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD 21208, on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 1 pm. Interment B'nai Israel Cemetery, 3701 Southern Avenue, Baltimore, MD, 21206. Please omit flowers.
