Eugene “Gene” Leonard Chez, PhD, 89
Beloved husband for 71 Years of Doris “Dorie” nee Wishnoff. Loving father of Susan (Ronnie) Masliansky, Howard (Amia) Chez and the late Michael D. (Shari Zimelman) Chez. Proud grandfather of Reuven Masliansky, Tzivia Masliansky, Aaron (Stacey) Masliansky, Efrat Chez, Ayelet Chez, Benjamin Chez and Mollie Chez. Fond great-grandfather of Lily, Joey, and Sophia. Dear brother of the late Beatrice (the late Wilbert) Klass, the late Shirley (Marshall) Turner and the late Jerry (Lorie Hatfield, the late Jackie) Chez. Gene was passionate about his lifelong love, Dorie. Together they travelled to seven continents. He and Dorie enjoyed their shared deserts. Gene was an avid learner. He successfully earned his PhD in later life from Northwestern University. Most of all Gene was a devoted family man! Graveside service Friday 1PM at Shalom Memorial Park Cemetery, (Section 5), 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights.
