In the tradition of the Bible story of Ruth, “Whither though goest….”, Estelle, who was raised and grown to maturity in Coney Island, Brooklyn, N.Y., followed her husband to Baltimore after five months of marriage. There, they raised three devoted children. She worked as an administrative assistant for a medical practice and later for the Baltimore office of the American Diabetes Association. She loved to travel, ten times to Israel, to Budapest where her father was born, to Poland where her mother was born, to London where their daughter lived and worked, also Prague, Copenhagen, Paris, and in the U.S. from coast to coast stopping at every great site, Mt Rushmore, Grand Canyon….When they could, she enjoyed a long weekend in Broadway, taking in the great musicals, dramas and comedies. She enjoyed every moment of her life until all to soon, she was attacked by a rare, terrible neurological disease, cortico-basal degeneration. Bravely, she dealt with it for 15 years until it wore her down.
