Obituary

Winnie Kirsh passed away peacefully on September 11, 2021. She was 90 years old, having been born Edwina Ruth Edelson on Valentine's Day, 1931. Winnie was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt , and friend to many. She was passionately in love with her husband, Sanford, until the day he passed away in 2000, and remained forever grateful for her life with him. Winnie is survived by her children, Lori Hadari (Avi), David (Paulette Livers), Cari Borris (David), and Matthew (Becky); by her grandchildren, Sheli, Lior, Gili, Ben, Bill, Kate, Graham, Joe, Molly, Danny and Ellen; by her great-grandchildren, Alia and Natalie; and by her sister, Marilyn. Winnie enjoyed painting and drawing, reading, music and dancing. She was brilliant, funny, kind, ornery, outrageous and irreverent. Life with Winnie often took unusual, if not unique, turns. In short, Winnie was one hell of a woman. She is dearly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hilgos Foundation, at www.hilgos.org. Graveside service Wed.
