Edward B. Melnick, 98 years and 9 days.
Beloved husband of Surrie nee Kaufman for 78 years. Loving father of Dr. Bennett (Diane) Melnick, Dr. Lester Melnick and Dr. Nina (Dr. Irwin) Silverstein. Proud grandfather of Ilana (Steven) Krigel, Julie (B Louis) Frenkel, Ian (Lauren Gold) Melnick, Lena Melnick and Everett (Jaime) Melnick. Cherished great grandfather of Dalia, Emma, Olive, Noa, Siggy and Joey. Son of the late Benjamin and the late Clara Melnick. Dear brother of the late Harry (the late Frieda) Melnick and the late Ida (the late Ed) Gordon. Former owner of Jeryco Chemical Company. He was a proud WWII veteran. Service will be Friday, 12 Noon, at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 8851 Skokie Blvd., (at Niles Center Road), Skokie. Interment Shalom.
