In Loving Memory of

David Michael Simonson

November 19th, 2021

Obituary

David Michael Simonson, 77, of Washington, DC passed away on Friday, November 19th, 2021. He is survived by his beloved wife, Michele Simonson (nee Lapin); sister-in-law, Esther Lapin Scheinberg; and loving friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Sara and Theodore Simonson.

David was, first and foremost, a devoted lawyer. Everyone knew him as someone who loved his job and loved to go to work every day. His strong morals, family's social background, and his religion led to a love of the law, and an insistence that things be "done right." Because of David's own physical challenges, he took great care to help other people with disabilities. His work as an attorney was his great pride in life.

When not practicing law, David was a voracious reader and had a great interest in art. He was an unpublished author, having almost completed a book about Modern Art. David was known as a man with vast knowledge of many different subjects. He loved to play Scrabble, but if you played him you had to be prepared to lose! David will be remembered by many for his wit and dry sense of humor.

Services at Arlington Chizuk Amuno Cemetery, 4450 N. Rogers Ave. Baltimore, MD 21215, on Sunday, November 21st, 2021 at 3:30 pm. Please omit flowers. Contributions in his memory may be sent to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, P.O. Box 22324, New York, NY 10087.
