Obituary

Carolyn Bess Madina (nee Spitz), of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away on Thursday, May 19th, 2022 at the age of 54. She is survived by her cherished sister, Julie (Spitz) Norin; brother-in-law, Myles Norin; mother, Susan Rothblatt Spitz; her father, Edward Spitz and step-mother, Gail Basile; step-brothers Jonathan, Norman, and Steven Basile; and nephews, Jacob and Benjamin Norin.

Carolyn passed away suddenly, but peacefully in her sleep. She was one who loved and cared deeply for family and cherished her friends and loved their children as though they were her own. Her creative spirit, her tremendous heart, and her loving nature will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Services at Sol Levinson's Chapel, 8900 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD 21208, on Tuesday, May 24th, 2022 at 2:30 pm. Interment Oheb Shalom Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be sent to the ASPCA, 424 E. 92nd Street, New York, NY 10128. The family will be in mourning at 1805 South Road, Baltimore, MD 21209 immediately following interment, with services at 7:00 pm; and Wednesday from 1:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-9:00 pm.
