Obituary

Carole Cole nee Lambert, 84, beloved wife of David for 65 years, loving mother of Michael (Goldie), Russell (Abby) and Brian (Emily) Cole; cherished grandmother of Jason, Sarah, Nicole, Elana, Jeffrey, Zachery, Paige, Jackie, Haley, Ethan, Adam and Ava; adored great grandmother of Jonah, Josh and Joie; dear sister of the late Linda (Paul) Sabian.

Carole was born November 4, 1935 in Chicago to the late Max and Anne Lambert and lived in Highland Park Illinois for 37 years. She attended the University of Illinois-Chicago and Northwestern University and was a member of the Sunset Valley Women's Golf League where she competed successfully in many tournaments and team events. In addition to golf and family, she had a passion and talent for interior design, working with many North Shore clients.

Carole passed away peacefully at her home in Deerfield on August 18, 2020, surrounded by her loving family, devoted and compassionate caregivers, Elkie and Amal, guided by the excellent professional staff from North Shore Hospice. There will be a private family service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
