Bruce A. Becker, 77. Loving husband and best friend for 52 years to Susanne nee Brayndick; Proud and devoted father to his daughters Jeanine Becker and Darlene (Erik Bergstrom) Becker; Adored grandfather to Jeanine’s newborn daughter, Maia Rhea Becker, who was fortunate to have her grandfather join in the celebration of her birth just a week before he passed; and Teo Becker Bergstrom, Darlene’s son who loved to play, garden and explore with his grandfather; Dear brother of Louis (Loretta) Becker. Bruce was a kind man with an incredible love of life, who seized the joy in every moment, and gave us all reasons to laugh with his hilarious sense of humor. He provided unconditional love and support to his family and continuously shared about the moment he first laid eyes on his beautiful bride 58 years ago. Since 1966 Bruce has had an active law practice on the South Side of Chicago, where he addressed his clients' needs with exceptional expertise, patience and loving care. He taught real estate and business law at Olive-Harvey College from 1966-1996, inspiring his students to go further in their education and professional pursuits. Bruce discovered Flamenco in 1955 at age 15 and spent the rest of his life studying, sharing, and enjoying this passionate musical art form, developing a focus on the singing – the cante of the masters. He maintained a thirst for adventure and learning his entire life. He loved to travel and explore, to experience different cultures, view wildlife and appreciate nature’s beauty. He loved to photograph animals, flowers and beautiful places. He and his wife spent many hours cultivating an organic garden in their backyard continuously learning and developing their knowledge and skills, and savoring the exceptional flavors and nutrition of their "bounty." He instilled his thirst for adventure and travel and his passion for life in his family - from traveling the world to camping and skiing, to seizing a moment of sunshine for a walk in the Glen. All family, friends, colleagues and clients agree that there was nobody like Bruce and in the midst of great ache we will all cherish our memories and adventures we have shared.
