Audrey Kaplan (née Stein) 92, affectionately known as "Muds" to those who knew her best. Beloved wife of the late Eugene Kaplan, happily married for 57 years; loving mother of Hope Engels, Jeffrey (Darlene) Kaplan and Eric (Arlene) Kaplan; cherished Bubbie of Elizabeth (Frankie) Rodriguez and Lee Engels; treasured great-grandmother of Harper; dear sister of Barbara Abramson and the late Charlene Petlin; much loved aunt of Rega Petlin Gerrish, Alan (Kristy) Petlin, Jodi (Jeremy) Oury, Allison (Scott) Langerman and Mark Abramson; wonderful great-aunt to several nieces and nephews, along with many cousins. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends of the Israel Defense Forces, www.fidf.org or Jewish National Fund for Tree Planting in Israel, https://usa.jnf.org/jnf-tree-planting-center. Chapel service Tuesday, January 10, 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment following at Shalom Memorial Park.
