Obituary

Alvin “Al” Lambert, age 89, of Boynton Beach, FL, formerly of Northbrook; beloved husband of the late Estelle Lambert; loving father of Ellyn (Peter Greenbaum) Lambert-Greenbaum, Jill Lambert, and the late Michael Lambert; devoted son of the late Dano and the late Ruth Lambert; cherished brother of Harvey (late Risa) Lambert and the late Stan (Micki) Lambert; treasured uncle and friend to many. During the Korean War, Al served his country with pride. Later, he worked hard to provide for his family, despite having to care for his wife, our mother, who was stricken with cancer. His great sense of humor did not fail him, even at the worst of times. Al made friends easily and nourished those relationships throughout his life. With his group of good friends, Al enjoyed weekly poker games and catching up on the latest news. Al had a deep love for his family and friends and loved to be around them. He will be profoundly missed. Graveside service will be Tuesday, May 30, 11:30 a.m. CT at Shalom Memorial Park Cemetery, Rand & Wilke Rds., Arlington Heights, IL. The service will be livestreamed on Al’s webpage at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com. In lieu of flowers, contributions to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, www.michaeljfox.org. Info: The Goldman Funeral Group (847) 478-1600.
