Obituary

Alan M. Caplan, 69; beloved husband for 47 years of Patti nee Faber; loving father of Samuel (Sarah), Benjamin (Nanci), and Joseph (Amy); adoring Zayde of Jack, Dani, Ashley, Sofia, Henry, and Nathan; dear brother of Susan Caplan and Judi (Sherwood) Blitstein; devoted son of the late Robert and Janyce; cherished son-in-law of the late Sherman and Harriet Faber; treasured brother-in-law, uncle, and friend of many. Devoted to his family and dedicated to furthering Jewish education for future generations of children.

Chapel service Wednesday, 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. Masks required to attend service. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Moriah Congregation, Solomon Schechter Day School of Metropolitan Chicago, and Camp Ramah in Wisconsin.
