Obituary

Carl M. Rish, RPh, 92, January 3, 2022; beloved husband and best friend of Barbara, nee' Paul for 60 years; loving father of Bradley (Juanita Godlewski) and Denise (Sid) Siegel; cherished "Papa" of Hannah Rish, Aden and Asher Siegel; dear brother-in-law of Ron (Georgeann) Paul, fond uncle of 5 and loved cousin of many. Carl was preceded in death by his much loved older brother Irving (the late Violet) and his adored parents George and Elsa. Carl was a proud graduate of the class of 1955 University of Illinois Chicago College of Pharmacy. Following graduation, Carl worked in both the retail and clinical settings before becoming an owner and partner of Menard Dempster Pharmacy in Morton Grove for 15 years. Carl then finished off his career,working for 22 years, at Walgreens; retiring in his 80's. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the University of Illinois Chicago College of Pharmacy General Scholarship Fund (www.pharmacy.uic.edu/alumni-and-giving/scholarships) or a charity of your choice. Private chapel service, Friday, January 7, 2022, 2:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights, IL. Interment Shalom Memorial Park.
