Obituary
Oscar Miller, age 100, beloved husband of Esther Miller (nee Bromberg), happily married for 75 years; loving father of Lauren Miller, Sharyn Yensko and Ira (Lillie) Miller; cherished grandfather of Eran (Steven); preceded in death by his dear brothers Harold and Samuel Miller; treasured uncle of Alan, Debbie, Marilyn, Phil, and the late Lois and Marty; Oscar was a WWII veteran, Hebrew School and Sunday School teacher, and a Professor Emeritus in Economics and a much-admired Dean of Students Affairs and Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs at the University of Illinois, Chicago.
Oscar was brilliant, gentle, kind, and modest. He taught and inspired literally thousands of people throughout his life and career. He was a loving father and husband with a focus and passion for family, Israel, Judaism, economics, and classical music. He will be sorely missed by friends and family. His legacy will live on for generations to come.
