Obituary

Joy Estelle Jacobson (nee Novit)
March 8, 1935-January 30, 2021

She lived, loved and laughed.

She will be missed more than words can say by those who liked her and mostly by those who loved her. She graduated from Roosevelt University with a teaching degree and taught elementary school until she began her most cherished job of being a mother. She retired from the Illinois Department of Unemployment Security, then spent her time with her friends, family and grocery shopped and cooked A LOT. QVC will miss her.

She is survived by her son, Jeffrey “Jeff” Jacobson (Heidi Millman), daughter, Ethel “Et” Schillmoeller (Hank), and the loves of her life, her grandchildren: Benjamin, Leah, Andrew, Sarah, Samuel, David, Rachel and Matthew- All AKA "Babe".

My love for you is not a gift to you. It is a gift to me.

"So, that's it."
