Obituary

Elaine Dapin, nee Laurie of Lincolnwood IL, formerly of West Rogers Park, passed away January 11, 2021. Elaine was the beloved wife of the late Julius Dapin for 65 years; loving devoted mother of Mark Dapin and Sheryl (Ross) Fimoff; much loved grandmother of Amy, Scott, and the late Bret Fimoff; doting great-grandmother of Aiden. She was preceded in death by her siblings Alfred (Ruth) Laurie and Miriam (Harold) Rubin. Aunt to many nephews and nieces. Long time special friends of Shelly Rubinstein, Herb and Marsha Landy, Joyce Kossy, the late Corky Moch, the late Shirley Harris and the late Anne and Irv Mayer. Elaine loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved the Cubs, Bulls, and Golden State Warriors. She enjoyed playing mahjong, movies, shopping for bargains, baking, writing poems, and was very active in Women's American Ort. She was a very kind person and great listener. She will be truly missed by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Services are private.
