Obituary

Edgar Rose, 94, of Highland Park, died peacefully at his home on December 28, beloved husband of the late Nettie, nee Kardon for 42 years; cherished father of Linda (Randy) Duke and Susan (Hugh) Pinkus; adored grandfather of Diane (Tim Abbott) Duke, Elliot Pinkus, Lisa (Shane) Lamb, and Donald Pinkus; proud Opa of Jay and Ella Lamb and Nesia Abbott; devoted son of the late Maximillian and Irene; dear brother of Mirjam Halpern; caring companion of the late Sylvia Rooth and for the last ten years loving companion of Inge Rothschild. In addition to enjoying time with his family, Edgar had a very successful career at Outboard Marine Corporation and loved traveling, classical music, opera and trying all types of cuisine. Private service and shiva due to COVID. Interment Shalom Memorial Park, Arlington Heights. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Ravinia Music Festival (www.ravinia.org/Page/SupportRavinia) or a charity of your choice.
