Obituary

Miriam Ruth Mankoff nee Onixt, 90
Beloved wife of Arnold “Kup” Mankoff. Loving mother of Marla (the late Peter) Backes, Barbara (the late Michael) Fishman and Adam (Cheryl) Mankoff. Proud grandmother of Evan (Kat) Backes, Liza Backes, Sam Fishman, Julia Fishman, Ian Mankoff and Lane Mankoff. Dear daughter of the late Louis and the late Helen Onixt. Fond sister of the late Diane Onixt. It was an 80-year love affair between Miriam & Kup, married 71 years. Saying goodbye to her is one of the most difficult things our family has ever had to do. She was the most incredible and beautiful person inside and out. We all have countless wonderful memories about her that it’s hard to even recall them all. Her presence was always contagious in the best way possible with her laugh, her sense of humor, and her love. Everyone always wanted to be around her because she brought so much joy into everyone’s lives. She will be missed! Graveside service Wednesday 12 noon at Westlawn Cemetery (Memorial Section) 7801 W. Montrose Ave., Norridge.
