Obituary
Mark Shamberg, 68, cherished brother of Lee Shamberg; beloved cousin of Lynn (Shamberg) Tatar, Michael Shamberg, their families, and many other cousins. Mark was a retired employee of the Cook County Department of Public Aid for whom promoting Jazz and related music was a passionate vocation: he was proud to have co-founded Southend Music Works, a nonprofit which presented New & World Music events to Chicago audiences, and to have assembled a museum-quality family music library. A mixed live-action and Zoom ceremony will be held on Thursday, April 1, at 11:00 AM at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 8851 Skokie Blvd. (at Niles Center Road) Skokie, IL.
