Obituary
Edward “Eddy” Telman, age 96, of Riverwoods and raised his family in Skokie. In 1959, he founded and owned Advance Leasing Corporation, which later became Advance Executive Auto Leasing Corporation, in Lincolnwood until his retirement in 2006. Eddy served honorably in US Navy Air Corp during WWII and recently was recognized for his distinguished service with an Honor Flight to Washington D.C.; beloved husband for 70 years of Josie Telman, nee Maimon; loving father of Jan Berman and Nancy (Dr. Mark Silverberg) Block; adored grandfather of Dr. Adam Berman, Lizzie (Christina Cox) Berman, Andrew Block and Jeffrey (Abby Mercu) Block; devoted son of the late Benjamin and Fay Telman; fond brother of the late Stewart Telman; treasured and loyal friend to many. Eddy was a Past President and long-time member of Twin Orchard Country Club and mastered 3 holes in one. Having grandchildren, was a huge gift for Eddy. He loved every aspect of being a grandfather. Graveside service Thursday, 3:00 p.m. at Shalom Memorial Park, Rand & Wilke Rds., Arlington Heights. The service will be livestreamed on Eddy's webpage at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com.
