Obituary

Adele “Delly” Davis, nee Mostow, age 84, of Northbrook, she was known as the “Lady of the Woods,” a legend and an inspiration to those who followed her journey for the last 50 years. Adele was known to many, who enjoyed Harms Woods along with her. She would walk hours every day in all kinds of weather, be it in her neighborhood, Glenview Park District, or the Forest Preserve. People could set their clock by her walking location. She was the devoted daughter of the late Ben “Chick” and the late Elizabeth Mostow; loving mother of Allison (Rod) Kamuf; grandmother of Jada, Madelyn, and Avery; cherished sister of Evie (late Bill) Levy; treasured aunt of Susan Goldman, Nancy (Robert) Shipley, and David (Lisa) Levy. Memorial Service Friday, 12 Noon CT at The Chapel, 8851 Skokie Blvd., Skokie (at Niles Center Rd.). The service will be livestreamed on Adele’s webpage at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com. Immediately following the service, there will be a condolence meal at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Keshet, www.keshet.org.
