Obituary

Robert “Bob” Scholl passed away on February 27, 2022 at the age of 80; beloved husband of the late Marlene Scholl (nee Rosen); loving father of Michael (Marie) Scholl, Mindee Nakfoor, and Eric Scholl; proud Grampsy of Maddie, Riley, Emma, Molly, and CJ; cherished brother of Herb (Mary) Scholl; dear brother-in-law of Sheryl (Arthur Cohen) Rosen and the late Stewart (Marlene) Rosen; treasured uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

In 1984, Bob founded The Apartment People, one of the first apartment finding services in Chicago. He helped pioneer an industry in which many relationships and careers were built. He was loved by many and best known for his generosity, huge heart, and unique sense of humor. Bob grew up in Chicago and went to Lake View High School. After retirement, Bob moved to Rancho Mirage, California where he spent the last 3 years of his life with his significant other, Audrey Bernstein, until his passing.

Service Monday, 10:00 a.m. at The Chapel, 8851 Skokie Blvd., Skokie (at Niles Center Rd.). Interment Westlawn Cemetery. The service will be livestreamed at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com.
