Esther Brodsky, nee Snitowsky, age 96, former Southsider, where she raised her family, also lived in Homewood for 40 years, and more recently in Buffalo Grove; beloved wife of the late David Brodsky; loving mother of Barry (Marsha Spitz) Brodsky, Roselee Kraus, and Joel (Debbie) Brodsky; adored grandmother of Jeffrey Brodsky, Gregory (Emily) Brodsky, Benjamin Brodsky, Sarah (Justin) Breen, Jennifer (Steve) Fisher, and Jessica (Daniel) Bergrin; proud great grandmother of Julia, Benjamin, Jake, Chase, Emma, Ava, Henry, Sophia; cherished sister of the late Isadore (late Esther) Snitowsky, late Louis (Lil) Shaw, late Morris Snitowsky, and the late Sophie (late Phil) Multack; dear companion of the late Leonard Cohen: treasured aunt, great aunt, cousin, and friend to many. Esther was an amazing lady who experienced a joyride through life. She was kind to everyone, always offered a positive thought and her unique smile. Family and friends were always more nourishing to her than food. Service Monday, 10:30 a.m. CT at Congregation Beth Judea, Route 83 & Hilltop Rd., Long Grove. You must be masked and vaccinated to attend the service. The service will be livestreamed at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com.
