Obituary
Arlene Faye Turoff, nee Schlesinger, age 71, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, niece, aunt, great-aunt, and friend passed away May 30, 2021. Arlene was a dedicated elementary school teacher who connected with and helped countless children before she retired, but her whole life was centered on her family. She devoted herself to loving and supporting her husband of nearly 47 years, Mitchell, her adored children, Alison and Michael (Laura), and her cherished grandchildren, Ella and Jacob. That love and support extended to her brother, Stephen (Amy) Schlesinger, and her in-laws, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephew. Loyal and gentle, she was a caring and dear friend to many. Arlene expressed her joy for her family through her delicious cooking, detailed party planning, and creative cake decorating. She put herself second anytime her friends or family needed her. Arlene’s quiet demeanor hid her adventurous spirit. She loved to travel near and far, and she delighted in an impromptu trip. Arlene touched many lives and will be truly missed by all.
