Dorothy Ellis, nee Goldman, of Highland Park, beloved wife of Mel Ellis for 59 years, adored mother of Nancy (Andy) Mills, John (Tami Snow) Ellis, and Karen (Seth) Frey, cherished grandma of Brad, Tommy and Justin Mills, Naomi and Taliah Ellis, and Casey, Leah and Jayne Frey, and treasured friend to many, died peacefully on April 7, 2021. Dorothy’s love of life and family will live on in her children and grandchildren. We will remember her beautiful smile, her kind and compassionate heart, and her intellectual curiosity. Dorothy was charitable and generous with her time throughout her life. She loved the arts and the beauty of nature. The memorial service will be livestreamed on Sunday, 3 p.m. CT.
