Obituary
Marvin M. Winer, age 94, of Skokie, retired, respected, and much beloved physical education teacher and basketball coach for over 40 years with the Chicago Public School System. He honorably served in the United States Army Air Corp during WW II. He is the beloved husband and best friend for 65 years of Evelyn “Evie”, nee Green; loving father of Andi (Scott) Bernstein, Candy (Todd) Chroman, and Scott (Jodie) Winer; adored Papa Marv of Jared (Mande), Evan (Silvia), Dustin (Rachel), Brent (Michelle), Jorie (fiancé Austin), and Alexa; proud great grandfather of Amani, Zoey, Jordan, Blaire, and Aria; devoted son of the late Abraham and the late Eva Winer; cherished brother of the late Perry (late Bonnie), late Sam (late Claire) and the late Harold (late Cissie) Winer; dear brother-in-law of the late Milt (Gladys) Green; treasured uncle and friend to many. Marv left an indelible mark on his family, friends, and students. The graveside service and shiva will be private.
