Obituary

Michael Jeffrey Libman, 86 passed away peacefully on June 11 after a short illness. Michael was a U. S. Army veteran who served from 1956 to 1958 in Germany. After working as a stockbroker, he went to Law School and then practiced privately before joining the public defender’s office. He was instrumental in helping to create the Veteran’s Court in Chicago to promote and protect Veteran’ rights. He was an avid Golfer, reader, collector of Native American Art as well as a sports enthusiast. He is survived by his five children: Stephen (Abbie) Libman, Scott Libman, Jody Libman, Michele Libman, and Veronica Libman. His eight grandchildren: Cody, Zachary, Jordon, Samantha, Max, Alexandra, Shaina and Allen Libman. He is also survived by his brother Norman (the late Doris) Libman. Michael had many cousins, nieces and nephews. There will be a private family service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
