Anita Siegel, nee Hirsch, age 89, of Vernon Hills, formerly of Highland Park; a highly respected special education teacher for over 30 years with SEDOL and Daniel Wright Junior High School; beloved wife for 58 years of the late Robert “Bob” Siegel; loving mother of Ronna (Larry) Woloshin and Nancy (Adam) Harris; adored Nia of Michelle, Joshua, and Brandon Harris; devoted daughter of the late Max and the late Irene Hirsch; cherished sister of the late Alvin (late Norma) Hirsch, the late Raymond (late Eleanor) Hirsch, and the late Howard Hirsch; dear sister-in-law of Mel (late Zelda) Siegel, Sheila Siegel and the late Jerry Siegel; treasured aunt, cousin, and friend to many. Anita has left an indelible mark on her family, friends, and the countless students she taught. The graveside service and shiva will be private.
