Obituary

Aaron Kawer, age 75, of Glenview. As a result of the Holocaust, Aaron was born in Frunze, Russia, and spent the first four years of his life in a displaced persons (DP) camp in Austria, before immigrating to the United States. Aaron was the Founder and President of Dry Clean Concepts, Inc., a national dry cleaning business that opened dry cleaning stores across the United States and Canada. He also served honorably in the United States Navy. Aaron was the beloved husband for 50 years of Joan, nee Schiller; loving father of Stanton (Andrea) Kawer, Lauren Mitchell, and Mira (Bill) Duncan; adored grandpa of Emma, Lily, Eden, Annick, Elle, Lyle, and Nora; devoted son of the late Hyman and the late Rose Kawer; cherished brother of Pam (Ron) Norinsky; dear brother-in-law of Lance (Sheila) Schiller; treasured uncle, cousin, and friend to many. The graveside service and shiva will be private. The service will be livestreamed Monday, 11:30 a.m. CST at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com.
