Rita and Harold eventually moved to Glenview, where they remained until his passing. She also loved going to the theater, traveling, baking, and doing needlepoint.

She is survived by her children Caryn (Don) Andrade, Peter (Stacey) Selz, and Richard (Kelly) Selz; grandchildren Emily (Kevin) Gunter, Olivia (Nick Welsch) Andrade, Sean and Liam Andrade, Isaac and Ethan Selz, Ken (Erin McDaniel) Addyman; sister Paula Stendel, and many nieces and nephews.
