Obituary

Lawrence A. Joseph, age 68. Loving father of Rachel Joseph (Collin Blank) and Sarah Joseph (Aaron Meltzer). Former husband of Cathi Joseph. Brother of Warren (Sandy). Uncle of Nicole (Chad Schneider) and David (Leilah). Great uncle of Noah, Jacob, Evan, Thomas and Elijah. Friend to countless more.
Larry spent most of his life as a proud civil servant for the City of New York. He worked as a social worker for both NYC's Administration for Children's Services (ACS) and NYC's Adult Protective Services. Larry additionally volunteered his time and expertise to a wide variety of organizations such as the Stonewall Community Development Corporation where he was on the advisory board. In February 2017, Larry joined other mental health care professionals in Albany and spoke with members of the NY State Legislature about the housing needs of inividuals with mental health care concerns.
Graveside service to be held Sunday, June 13, 10:30AM at Beth El Cemetery, 80-12 Cypress Hills Street, Ridgewood, New York. The service will also be streamed online for those who are unvaccinated or unable to travel. Please use the following link to join us online: https://eagleview.zoom.us/i/92476688798.
