Shiva.com (Shiva) understands your concern about how information about you is used and shared. We have prepared this Privacy Policy to let you know about our policy regarding Personal Data including your email address that is collected on the site. All capitalized terms not defined herein shall have the meaning attributed to them in the Terms of Use.

Shiva Privacy Goal
We developed our Privacy Policy to demonstrate a commitment to offer the highest-quality services and products with honor when working with our customers and partners. This Policy is designed to help you understand how we collect, use and safeguard the personal information provided to us and to assist you in making informed decisions when using our site, services, platform and products. We endeavor to evaluate this statement and update to remain consistent with new technologies, business practices and our users’ needs.

What Information Do We Collect?
When you visit our site, you may provide us with certain types of information. Generally, there are two types of information provided, collected and used: personal data and information that you knowingly elect to disclose which is collected on an individual basis, and passive information collected through site use while you and others browse our site.

Personal Data. We collect Personal Data when you voluntarily choose to register for use of the site as a subscriber or contact us with comments or inquiries. We use the Personal Data that we collect in order to respond to submissions you make to the site, to provide and improve the Services, and as otherwise set forth in this Privacy Policy. We also collect Personal Data from your transactions with non-affiliated third parties.

Passively Collected Information. When you interact with SHIVA through the website, we receive and store certain additional personally non-identifiable information. Such information, which is collected passively using various technologies, cannot presently be used to specifically identify you. Examples include IP addresses, browser types, domain names, and other anonymous statistical data involving your use of the site and/or the Services.

On the site, we may permit third party ad serving companies or ad networks to display third party advertisements on the site. Some of these companies may place a persistent cookie in order to recognize your computer each time they send you an online advertisement. Therefore, these companies may compile information about where you are using your computer, where you saw their advertisements, and which ads you clicked on. This information allows these companies to deliver targeted advertisements that they believe will be of most interest to you. SHIVA does not have access to the cookies that may be placed by these companies.

We do not link the information that we store in cookies to any personally identifiable information or email address you submit while on our site. We do not use tracking technologies in regards to emails.

2. Web Site Use Information

Similar to other commercial Web sites, our Web site utilizes a standard technology called "cookies" (see explanation below, "What Are Cookies?") and Web server logs to collect information about how our web site is used. Information gathered through cookies and web server logs may include the date and time of visits, the pages viewed, time spent at our web site, and the Web sites visited just before and just after our web site. This information is collected on an aggregate basis. None of this information is associated with you as an individual.

How Do We Use the Information That You Provide to Us?
Broadly speaking, we use personal information for purposes of administering our business activities, providing customer service and making available other products and services to our customers and prospective customers. Occasionally, we may also use the information we collect to notify you about important changes to our web site, new services and special offers we think you will find valuable. The lists used to send you product and service offers are developed and managed under our traditional company standards designed to safeguard the security and privacy of our customers' personal information.

What Are Cookies?
Cookies are a feature of web browser software that allows web servers to recognize the computer used to access a web site. Cookies are small pieces of data that are stored by a user's web browser on the user's hard drive. Cookies can remember what information a user accesses on one Web page to simplify subsequent interactions with that web site by the same user or to use the information to streamline the user's transactions on related web pages. This makes it easier for a user to move from web page to web page and to complete commercial transactions over the Internet. Cookies should make your online experience easier and more personalized.

How Do We Use Information We Collect from Cookies?
We use web site browser software tools such as cookies and web server logs to gather information about our Web site users' browsing activities, in order to constantly improve our Web site and better serve our customers. This information assists us to design and arrange our Web pages in the most user-friendly manner and to continually improve our Web site to better meet the needs of our customers and prospective customers. Cookies help us collect important business and technical statistics. The information in the cookies lets us trace the paths followed by users to our Web site as they move from one page to another. Web server logs allow us to count how many people visit our Web site and evaluate our Web site's visitor capacity. We do not use these technologies to capture your individual email address or any personally identifying information about you although they do permit us to send focused online banner advertisements or other such responses to you.

Sharing Information with Affiliates
From time to time you may receive offers from our affiliated companies, offers which we feel you will be interested in considering your interest in our services. Although we make an effort to carefully screen these companies, we rely on you to inform us if you are displeased in any way with their contact. Based on your experience, management of SHIVA will consider how best to deal with the problem. Note that under no circumstances we will share information regarding your social security number or other personal financial data.
